Welcome to the Hall County Sheriff's Office website. We hope that you will be able to use this site to become better informed about your Sheriff’s Office and the services we provide. The Hall County Sheriff's Office is a full service law enforcement agency that provides: 24-hour Uniform Patrol, School Resource Officers, School Crossing Guards, Advance (Youth Education) Program, Neighborhood Watch Programs, Criminal Investigations, Dive Team, SWAT Team, Warrant Service Unit, Civil Process Service, Courthouse Security, Inmate Work Details, Community Service (clean streets) Bus Program, Work Release Program and one of the largest jails in North Georgia with a capacity of 1,134 inmates. Details and photographs of these divisions/units can be viewed through this website.
This website is intended as an informational resource for the citizens of Hall County and the surrounding areas. Our goal for this site is to increase communication between the Sheriff’s Office and the citizens of Hall County and to provide a mechanism for public access to frequently requested information that is within the public domain.

Reports
Copies of incident and accident reports are available from the Records Unit in the front lobby of the Sheriff's Office. Please have a valid photo I.D. at the time of the request and as much information about the incident as possible, such as the date of incident, report date, case number, and type of incident. Note that traffic accident reports are available only to parties who are named in the report, attorneys representing those parties, and insurance companies with coverage interests.
The requesting person must present a valid Georgia photo I.D. for the report to be notarized by Sheriff's Office personnel. If the requester does not have a valid Georgia I.D. they will still be able to obtain the report, but it will not be notarized. If requesting a report on another person, you will need that person's full name, date of birth, and if at all possible, their social security number.
Processing and Pickup
Payment must be in the form of cash, money order or credit card. (*$1.95 processing fee CC)
Reports require 3 to 5 business days for processing, and may be picked up at the records office located in the front lobby of the Sheriff's Office at 2859 Browns Bridge Road in Gainesville, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
